I’m Rusheel Chande, a Seattle based full-stack developer and a B.S. Informatics (Software Development) senior at the University of Washington, graduating June 2026. I interned at Amazon as an SDET on the Smart Vehicles team, where I built and shipped automation tools for Alexa in Android Automotive. I’m seeking full-time Software Development Engineer roles.

Currently Working On (sponsored by Amazon Auto & Logistics): A self service web portal for drone based vehicle inspections. Users upload high res images, submit inspection requests, and view AI detected defects and job status in a dashboard. On the backend, I'm integrating a vision language model for defect detection, storing results, and exporting labeled datasets for future model fine tuning.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Software Development Engineer

-
Designing and building SkyHub for a UW capstone project sponsored by Amazon Auto and Amazon Logistics. It is a self service web portal for drone based vehicle inspections, covering end to end flows from image upload → defect detection → results → dataset export.

-
Building the frontend + backend APIs for auth, project management, high res (8K) batch uploads, request submission, and real time job status + history, with secure protections (XSS/CSRF/injection).

-
Integrating with a GPU backed AI model defect detection pipeline and results UI that stores predictions (bounding boxes/labels/confidence), visualizes defects with zoom/pan, and exports versioned JSON/ZIP training datasets for model fine tuning.

Software Development Engineer in Test Intern
Amazon.com
Sunnyvale, CA
-
As a 16-week full-time SDET intern on Amazon Smart Vehicles—the team that brings Alexa to in-vehicle infotainment for OEMs like BMW and Rivian—I worked with PMs, QAEs, and SDEs to define, then design, build, test and deploy 2 automation tools; led hands-on workshops to onboard QAEs to the new tools.
-
Built an automated UI validation system for Alexa in Android Automotive infotainment that drives devices via ADB and validates UI and safety compliance in the cloud; reduced manual review time from minutes to seconds and improved QAE efficiency by 80%.
-
Created a visual-UPL measurement pipeline that calculates the time from a user’s utterance end to the rendered Alexa response across multiple interaction types; fully eliminated QAE stopwatch-based timing and delivered standardized latency metrics directly into CI dashboards.
